This was always the Right Bank’s most luxurious option and ever since it was bought in 2001 by supermarket tycoon and château owner Gérard Perse it has become even more sumptuous. Chef Philippe Etchebest creates masterly and very complex dishes – not the kind of thing you can prepare at home. Lavish and expensive wine list, formal yet friendly service, a whiff of vulgarity in the décor, and the bill will tempt you to make a run for it.
