Michael Palij MW is a judge at the at the Decanter World Wine Awards (DWWA)
Michael Palij MW was born in Toronto, Canada and emigrated to the UK in 1989 after reading English and philosophy at the University of Toronto. He joined Oddbins, where he worked for four years, and in 1997 Palij formed the independent wine importers Winetraders, specialising in Italy. He writes and lectures widely on his specialist subject and lives in Oxford with his wife and two children. Palij was first a DWWA judge in 2004.
