Vincent Pastorello is a judge at the at the Decanter World Wine Awards (DWWA)
Vincent Pastorello
For the past 2 and a half years, Vincent Pastorello has been head of wine at the Dorchester, after over 4 years as Head Sommelier at Alain Ducasse. His current role includes Alain Ducasse 3 michelin star, restaurant The Grill, The Promenade, bars, banqueting and in room dining. His wine career has been international, starting with a position as apprentice sommelier at the Paris Hotel Marriott Champs-Élysées, and moving in quick succession to several Michelin-starred restaurants around the world.
From his native Paris, Pastorello moved to London in 2004 to join D&D’s Orrery, after which he worked at Gordon Ramsey at Claridge’s and Gordon Ramsey’s Maze. 2006 saw a move to Melbourne, Australia, which he called home for five years. During his time there, Pastorello worked for both Vue du Monde and Rockpool Bar & Grill, working his way up to the position of head sommelier.
Vincent Pastorello was first a judge at the DWWA in 2014.
