See winning photos from Louis Jadot Wine Photographer of the Year 2026
An atmospheric image offering a glimpse of winery work behind-the-scenes has been named overall winner in this year’s Louis Jadot Wine Photographer of the Year competition.
Spanish photographer Juan Miguel Ortuño Martinez scooped the 2026 Louis Jadot Wine Photographer prize for his image, In the Depths of Deposit, which shows a winery worker removing wine residue from an underground tank.
Putting the winning photo in context, Martinez explained, ‘During the cleaning of the underground tanks, Pedro (pictured) goes down and cleans the walls and floor of the remains of the previous wine with pressurised water.
‘Once clean, his partner lowers a small bucket with a sponge inside to collect the remains that are left in the lower corner.’
It was the overall winner in the competition, which is part of the World Food Photography Awards (sponsored by Bimi), but two other images also won their respective sub-categories.
