In his Rhône 2019 vintage report, Matt Walls was pleased to find some outstanding wines from across the valley’s famous appellations, and he also found pockets of value within the vintage.
White wine lovers should look to Vacqueyras, Cairanne and Lirac for good value, while Walls noted that a handful of reds from Beaumes de Venise ‘offer great value for money’ in a year when many were high in alcohol and often quite clunky.
