Burgundy 2008: Top 3 from Chanson

Stephen Brook gives his top three wines from the Chanson Burgundy 2008 tasting

Chanson is a much improved negociant house, with a strong range of 2008 whites and competitive prices.

One star was Chassagne-Montrachet Chenevottes:

Exuberant spicy apricot nose. Juicy, concentrated, and spicy, with energy and punch and excellent length. 17.5. £288 IB.

The white Beaune Clos des Mouches also very fine. As is the red:

Ripe elegant cherry nose. Suave, juicy, and concentrated, with abundant fruit and good tannic structure. 17. £260 IB.
