Welcome message by Amy Wislocki, Decanter magazine editor
Amy Wislocki, Decanter magazine editor.
It was in April 2024 that we carried out our last full reader survey and since then we’ve introduced new regular articles and tweaked existing ones in response to your feedback.
Do please take the time to complete our latest reader survey before the closing date of 30 November. Not only will it help us to ensure we’re giving you the magazine you want, but you’ll also be in with a chance of winning one of three 12-month magazine and Decanter Premium subscription bundles.
We’re excited to be launching these bundles (which represent a saving on taking out the subscriptions individually) in the near future, and we hope that they will help to bring the full benefits of subscribing both in print and online to a wider audience.
In my glass this month
Leonardslee, Classic Cuvée MV
Another English sparkler this month – this time not a demi-sec but the new Classic Cuvée MV from Leonardslee, near Horsham in West Sussex (£39.50 leonardslee.co.uk).
It’s the first time the estate, which has just started to offer tutored tastings in its new drawing room, has produced a multi-vintage fizz, this one 48% Chardonnay, 46% Pinot Noir and 6% Meunier. Crisp acidity balances mellow orchard fruit and spice.
