CIVB announces new president

The CIVB (Conseil Interprofessionel du Vin de Bordeaux) has announced that Jean-Louis Trocard will replace Eric Dulong as CIVB president. Eric Dulong will take up the post of Secretary-General of the CIVB.

Trocard, a winegrower from Pomerol and Saint-Emilion, was president of the CIVB from 1998-2000 and president of the Syndicate Regional des Appellations Bordeaux et Bordeaux Superieur from 1989-1998.

The CIVB agreed to increase resources for promotion and marketing of its wines by increasing member fees by 25% in 2003, 20% in 2004 and 15% in both 2005 and 2006.
