Latour and North Korea: April Fool

Decanter would like to make clear that today's article about the government of North Korea buying the allocation of Chateau Latour's second wine, Forts de Latour, was intended as an April Fool's joke and is entirely untrue.

Decanter has a tradition of running humorous April Fool’s stories, which include suggesting that Paris Hilton would open Vinexpo 2007 by descending in a golden balloon, that to mark the 150th anniversary of the 1855 Classification a sixth wine would be elevated to First Growth status, and that the French government was about to ban all drinking on restaurant terraces.

Horrified wine lovers can be assured that Forts de Latour will be available as normal.
