Some of the wine world’s best known names are among around 230 guests set to arrive at Decanter’s central London headquarters this evening to hear which wines have claimed the most coveted prizes at the 2014 Decanter World Wine Awards (DWWA).

Masters of Wine will rub shoulders with producers, merchants and retailers at the ceremony, which will include a tasting of the International Trophy winners and several Regional Trophy winners.

Stay tuned to Decanter.com to see the names of trophy winners as they are announced.

From 10pm UK time, Decanter.com visitors will be able to search for all 10,455 medal winners at DWWA 2014 via a specially built online results section.

Winning wines can be sought via type of medal, style, country or region, and stockist information will also be available to show where the wines can be purchased.

Judging at DWWA 2014 involved 224 specialist tasters from around the world, including 66 Masters of Wine and 18 Master Sommeliers.

The 33 International Trophy winners represent just 0.22% of the original 15,007 entries. Other medals awarded include 125 Regional Trophies, 454 gold medals, 2,003 silver, 4,378 bronze and 3,620 commended.

Regional Trophies are chosen from gold medal winners in a particular region, and then compete for International Trophies in specific categories defined by wine style.
