DWWA judge profile: Joan Torrents

Joan Torrents is a judge at the at the Decanter World Wine Awards (DWWA)

Joan Torrents is the director of buying at Enotria and heads a team of six buyers. With a career in wine expanding more than two decades, he comes from a 4th generation wine family and in 2007 was nominated Young Achiever in the UK by The Drinks Business magazine. Prior to joining Enotria, he worked in Moscow creating the strategic sourcing for Rosinter, the biggest restaurant group in Russia and CIS, and before then heading the wine division for Mitchells & Butlers’ 2000 restaurants and bars. He is a Chevalier of Cava and member of the Champagne Academy. Outside work, Joan enjoys watercolour painting and playing electric guitar. Torrents was first a DWWA judge in 2012.
