Mai Tjemsland MW is a Norwegian Master of Wine living in Trapani, Sicily but work out from Oslo, Norway. She holds a Bachelor in business economy and marketing, was certificated as a sommelier in 1996 and became a Master of Wine in 2009.

Claiming Italy is her favourite wine-producing country, Tjemsland has worked internationally in the hospitality industry for over 25 years and now work as a wine buyer for the Autentico Group in Norway. In addition, Tjemsland has her own consulting company GastroConsult AS, lectures at sommelier schools, the WSET and the Institute of Masters of Wine, as well as Masterclasses for private consumers and trade organizations and contribute as a wine writer for several trade magazines.
