Hungary shocked by sudden death of Gál

It is with sadness that decanter.com reports the deaths of two great winemakers.

Tibor Gál, one of Hungary’s leading winemakers, died in a car accident on Thursday, February 10, in South Africa. He was 46.

An obituary will follow shortly, along with a tribute to one of Mosel’s great winemakers, Hans Selbach of Weingut Selbach-Oster, who died on February 4, aged 76.
