John Avery MW, Regional Chair for South Africa

John Avery MW has over 42 years experience in wine. John is the fourth generation in his family business and passed his MW in 1975. He has judged in competitions around the globe, including South Africa. He judged the Veritas and Diners Club winemaker of the year in South Africa, and has been on the panel to select wines for South African Airlines three times. He is wine advisor to the Grocers Company and is a member of the UK Government hospitality wine advisory committee.
