Margaret Harvey MW, Regional chair for New Zealand

Margaret Harvey MW was born and educated in Auckland, and came to the UK on a two-year working holiday in 1975, during which she attended various WSET courses. Harvey started Fine Wines of New Zealand in 1985 by importing 100 cases of wines from small, family-run properties, and then passed her MW in 1991. In 1998, she was awarded the New Zealand Order of Merit, and in 2006, was awarded Honorary Life Member to New Zealand Winegrowers for services to the industry.
