Napa property on market for $34m

A 12-acre Napa Valley property is for sale for US$34m.

The property, leased in part by Del Dotto Vineyards, has been listed by realtors Marcus and Millichap.

The property is located just off the Silverado Trail near Atlas Peak and adjacent to Silverado Country Club and Resort. It and houses Del Dotto’s tasting room and wine caves, which were hand-dug in 1885.

Dale Buller has owned the property for over 25 years according to John Redwine, an associate at Marcus and Millichap’s San Francisco office.

Del Dotto Vineyards will not be left out in the cold, however. Their lease reportedly has some time yet to run and the winery has recently completed a new Venetian-style winery and caves in St. Helena, farther north in the valley.

Though the family was not available for comment, it would seem likely that Del Dotto will move all of its operations to the new facility after its leased property is sold.

In addition to Del Dotto, the parcel for sale includes a few acres of vines, an art gallery, a real estate office and a couple of single family residences.

Redwine says that current zoning would permit the buyer to build a 50-unit hotel on the property, but as of yet, there is no buyer or firm plan for development of the parcel.
