Sylvain Loichet, En Charlemagne, Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru 2014

Far more closed on the nose than Loichet’s Ladoix whites, but the palate is magnificent: rich, very concentrated, yet not too austere, despite a strong mineral tone. There’s fine weight of fruit here but it has tension and grip too. Long.
