Château Marquis d’Alesme, Margaux, 3ème Cru Classé, Bordeaux 2014
This product is featured in: Anson: Bordeaux 2014 wines re-tasted.

Deep and rich, packed full of damson, cassis, tobacco leaf, graphite. The tannins chew and gnaw away at the finish line but the fruit keeps up nicely. A touch surly right now, with just a point of bitterness on the finish, but this is a great quality wine from an estate that is benefitting from serious investment over recent years.

Alc: 13.5% abv

Steven Spurrier

Good density of cassis fruit, polished winemaking and good tannins. This is hugely improved.
