Bouchard Pere et Fils

Stephen Brook

Tasting: Meursault 1er Cru 2010

Broad appley nose with a good deal of oak. A big fleshy style, with sleek fruit and fine acidity to balance the fruit. It seems to lack some complexity and persistence, and although well made and attractively oaky, it’s a tad modest for Perrieres. Good length.

Gearoid Devaney

Tasting: Meursault 1er Cru 2010

The nose is open with fresh white stone fruits and fresh almonds. The palate is open, with stone fruits and conference pear. Lovely acid and pure minerals, really precise and toned, the finish is long and complex.

Tasting: Meursault 1er Cru 2010

Fine yellow fruits nose, almost creamy but with a citrussy twist; lovely florality and lifted fruit. Very good expression of fruit on the palate and all the precision expected of Perrieres. Beautiful balance and fine, minerally finish; a lovely, perfectly balanced and very expressive wine.
