Tasting: Barbera d’Alba

Slightly dirty on the first nose. Ethereal with sour cherry nose. Good body and texture. lots of spicy notes. good texture and complex aromas of plums jammy notes.

Stephen Brook

Tasting: Barbera d’Alba

Very deep red. Lush oaky, chocolaty nose, with sumptuous black fruits. Rich and plump, very concentrated, opulent fruit and a seamless texture, with a good deal of tannins from the oak. Powerful but balanced, with a long spicy finish that does show a trace of alcohol.

Ian D'Agata

Tasting: Barbera d’Alba

Dark ruby. Pure ripe aromas of dark black cherry and strawberry jelly. Then bright and fresh but with creamy spicy red and dark plum and berry fruit. Finishes with lingering spiciness and mounting but fairly smooth tannins. Needs time to open further
