Natacha Chave, Aleofane, Crozes-Hermitage, Rhône, 2010

  • Grape Variety: Syrah
  • Drink: 2012 - 2020

Natacha Chave

Stephen Brook

Tasting: Crozes-Hermitage 2010

Firm meaty black fruits nose, has typicity. Broad, fleshy, with good depth of fruit and concentration. Spicy, tarry, and peppery, this has character and punch. Vibrant and long, if far from subtle.

Simon Field MW

Tasting: Crozes-Hermitage 2010

Full-bodied, ripe raw meaty nose, tar and licorice; palate is edgy, yet with fine balancing acidity, plenty of red and black fruit and quite sophisticated tannins, Will repay a little patience.

John Livingstone-Learmonth

Tasting: Crozes-Hermitage 2010

Blackberry liquid, jam air with a scented note, a salty, liquorice back note, prune, a jolly start. Palate delivers black fruit with tang in it, tannin well absorbed, lend an extra couch towards end. Drinkable now. Fine grain tannin round-off.
