Il Mandorlo

Richard Baudains

Tasting: Chianti Classico Riserva

Burnt toast and prune on the nose. Very dense, tight tannic palate, some sweet fruit in the finish, very young. Quality raw material, very well made.

Tasting: Chianti Classico Riserva

Really charming red, lots of black fruit and drying, firm tannins and high acid. Would make a good food wine with red meat dishes.

Michael Palij

Tasting: Chianti Classico Riserva

Initially shy on the nose this combines classic Sangiovese notes of blackberry, tea and earth discreet oak influence and ripe tannins. This is both complex and ripe but without reliance on the omnipresent barrel. A delicious wine for current drinking that is neither too tannic nor too fruity.
