Monterotondo, Seretina, Chianti Classico Riserva, Tuscany, 2009

  • Grape Variety: Sangiovese
  • Drink: 2013 - 2020

Richard Baudains

Tasting: Chianti Classico Riserva

Mulberry fruit, potato skin, autumn leaf. Tight, supple palate, with sweet fruit and refined tannins. Long and classic.

Emily O'Hare

Tasting: Chianti Classico Riserva

Broad shouldered red, delicate with just ripe fruit and big old oak. Very drinkable but feels more Brunello.

Michael Palij

Tasting: Chianti Classico Riserva

Fragrant and inviting nose of ripe black fruit, mineral overtones, and exotic spice from new French oak. Real concentration on the palate with a refined and delicate balance of tannins and acidity with good length. Finish is a little heavy with a tarry note on the finish but this is appealing and forward.
