Fraser Gallop Estate

Andrew Jefford

Tasting: Western Australia Chardonnay

Pale green-gold. More restraint (that’s definitely the zeitgeist!); softly coffeed oak. On the palate, this is elegant, not overly oaky, lean, long, vinous, poised and fresh. Needs time to efface the oak notes on the aroma a little. Well-made and correct. Good quality vineyards, but a little underwhelming if you drink it young.

Roger Jones

Tasting: Western Australia Chardonnay

Soft and delicate on the nose, complex and layered fruit with a secondary layer of lovely ripe stone fruit evolving, soft acidity and clean lingering finish.

Alessandro Marchesan

Tasting: Western Australia Chardonnay

Clean and crisp with plenty of ripe citrus fruit, very well integrated oak and long bright aftertaste.
