Beside regular contributions to Slovenian periodicals, he is a contributor to The Oxford Companion to Wine and The World Atlas of Wine. He is the author of Wine guide \u00e2\u0080\u0093 Slovenia 2012. A regular judge in national and international wine competitions, he and his wife founded Slovenia\u00e2\u0080\u0099s first wine school, Belvin, in 2002.<img src="http:\/\/www.decanter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/34\/2012\/05\/000003000-Igor_Sotric.jpg"><h2>Igor Sotric.jpg<\/h2>Igor Sotric moved to the UK and entered the wine industry 15 years ago after graduating with a degree in Microbiology. Qualified to WSET Diploma level, he is Head Sommelier and Wine Buyer at China Tang at the Dorchester. His prior experience has also been with Asian restaurants including the Cocoon and the St Martins Lane Hotel. Igor also acts as consultant to several restaurants.<img src="http:\/\/www.decanter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/34\/2012\/05\/000003001-Mai_Tjemsland_MW.jpg"><h2>Mai Tjemsland MW.jpg<\/h2>Mai Tjemsland MW is an Oslo-based restaurateur with her own company GastroConsult AS. She holds a BI in Business Economy and Marketing, was certificated as a Sommelier in 1996 and became a Master of Wine in 2009. Claiming Italy is her favourite wine country, Mai has worked internationally in the hospitality industry for over 25 years and now oversees her own restaurant and catering companies. Alongside this, Mai lectures at sommelier schools, the WSET and the Institute of Masters of Wine as well as consulting for importers and holding Masterclasses on subjects including New Trends in Chile, California, and Food and Wine in Harmony.<img src="http:\/\/www.decanter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/34\/2012\/05\/000002fff-Caroline_Gilby_MW.jpg"><h2>Caroline Gilby MW.jpg<\/h2>Caroline Gilby MW has been visiting Hungary for over 20 years since becoming the first major buyer to ship wines from there for Augustus Barnet off-licences. She has a doctorate in plant biology but abandoned life behind the microscope for a career in wine soon after winning the Decanter-Macallan Malt Whisky Taster of the Year Award while a student. Caroline passed her MW in 1992 then spent seven years as a senior wine buyer before switching to a career as freelance writer and consultant, specialising in Central and Eastern Europe. She contributes to Hugh Johnson\u00e2\u0080\u0099s Pocket Wine Guide, and has written for Dorling Kindersley\u00e2\u0080\u0099s Wines of the World, The Oxford Companion to Wine, The Wine Opus and Tom Stevenson\u00e2\u0080\u0099s Wine Report, as well as for various websites and magazines.
