Stephen has won a clutch of awards for his writing on wine, and is the author of more than 30 books, including Complete Bordeaux, now the definitive study of the region, and now in its second edition, and The Wines of California, which won three awards. His recently published book The Finest Wines of California is his third on Californian wine. Stephen also fully revised the last two editions of Hugh Johnson\u00e2\u0080\u0099s Wine Companion, and he writes for magazines in many countries.<img src="http:\/\/www.decanter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/34\/2012\/05\/000002f22-Pierre_Mansour.jpg"><h2>Pierre Mansour.jpg<\/h2>Pierre Mansour spent four years with Berry Bros & Rudd as duty manager of its Heathrow store after an introduction to the wine trade in 1995 with the Antique Wine Company. He completed the WSET Diploma in 1998 before joining Vinopolis as Tastings Manager. In 2000 Pierre joined The Wine Society to oversee tastings and events, before taking on the role of Buyer in 2004. He currently buys The Society's Australian, New Zealand, Spanish, North American and Lebanese wines. Pierre is currently studying for his Master of Wine.<img src="http:\/\/www.decanter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/34\/2012\/05\/000002f23-Rebecca_Palmer.jpg"><h2>Rebecca Palmer.jpg<\/h2>Rebecca Palmer is Associate Director and Buyer for the Corney & Barrow Group based in London and Hong Kong. As Head of Commercial Buying, she is responsible for the core portfolio of both Corney & Barrow\u00e2\u0080\u0099s Merchanting and Wine Bars\u00e2\u0080\u0099 businesses, covering all world regions except Bordeaux. Prior to working for Corney & Barrow, Rebecca was a buyer at Direct Wines (Laithwaites), specialising in France and South America. A modern languages graduate, she has worked in the wine trade for over 15 years.<img src="http:\/\/www.decanter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/34\/2012\/05\/000002f25-Virginia_Philip_MS.jpg"><h2>Virginia Philip MS.jpg<\/h2>Virginia Philip MS is in her eleventh year at The Breakers Palm Beach in Florida, where she maintains and oversees the beverage departments for nine restaurants and bars, and their 14 wine lists, including the 1,600-selection list at L\u00e2\u0080\u0099Escalier, the resort\u00e2\u0080\u0099s signature restaurant which has won the Wine Spectator\u00e2\u0080\u0099s Grand Award every year since its inception in 1981. Prior to her arrival at The Breakers, Virginia worked at many accredited resorts and restaurants throughout the USA, most notably The Little Nell, a Five Diamond\/Five Star resort in Aspen, and was the Wine Buyer for 36 stores in San Antonio, Texas. Viriginia won the title of Best Sommelier of the United States in 2002, owns the Virginia Philip Wine Shop and Academy in West Palm Beach and has developed a wine program for Stephane\u00e2\u0080\u0099s, set to debut this year.<img src="http:\/\/www.decanter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/34\/2012\/05\/000002f1f-Angela_Mount.jpg"><h2>Angela Mount.jpg<\/h2>Angela Mount has been a wine industry consultant for the past three years, and heads up online wine retail venture www.yourfavouritewines.com, owned by Dragon\u00e2\u0080\u0099s Den star Peter Jones. She also works with both producers and agents to develop styles of wine and appropriate market strategy for the UK market. She is a frequent public and conference speaker, writes for Flavour Magazine, and heads up the judging panels for both Bath and Bristol Good Food Awards competition. Prior to this, Angela was Head of Wine Buying at Somerfield supermarkets, where her taste buds were famously insured for \u00c2\u00a310m.<img src="http:\/\/www.decanter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/34\/2012\/05\/000002f20-David_Jean.jpg"><h2>David Jean.jpg<\/h2>David Jean has always been fascinated by aromas and flavours with the result that he chose to study Enology in Switzerland. After graduating in 2005 he became a Wine Buyer for Coop Switzerland with responsibility for the Swiss, French, Austrian and German categories. In 2008 he moved to Stockholm to work as Buyer for the Swedish Retail monopoly Systembolaget with responsibility for Australia, North America and Eastern Europe. He is also strongly involved in their QC\/QA-program. He has been a judge at the Mondial du Pinot Noir for several years. In his free time he enjoys travelling and discovering new cultures. He is currently studying for his MW.<img src="http:\/\/www.decanter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/34\/2012\/05\/000002f21-Jean_Michel_Valette_MW.jpg"><h2>Jean-Michel Valette MW.jpg<\/h2>Jean-Michel Valette MW is Chairman of Vinfolio, a US-based internet retailer and seller of fine wine. He has also been chairman and MD of Robert Mondavi Winery, as well as CEO of Franciscan Estates. Outside of wine he is a Director of the Boston Beer Company, maker of Sam Adams beer, and the Chairman of Peet's Coffee & Tea. His interest in vines and wine started at an early age during summers spent with his grandparents in Vouvray. He was one of North America's early Masters of Wine and has since been active in education, examination and governance of the IMW, where he is currently Deputy Vice-Chair.
