Tasting: Vosne-Romanee 2010

Subdued red fruits nose. Medium-bodied, sleek,quite concentrated, certainly has good acidity and ample freshness, spicy and lively if not very nuanced at present. There’s a good deal of tannin and an appealing toastiness on the finish, which is very long.

medium deep, garnet red;
ripe cherry fruit, evolving perfume, caramel;
soft start, wine lacks definition, is evolving rather fats.

The colour is fractionally more evolved than some. Fair quality of red fruit, a little soft oak, does not quite kick on, but an attractive wine.
