Tasting: Vosne-Romanee 2010

Brooding raspberry nose, not very expressive now but with good depth of fruit. Firm tannic attack, robust and almost rustic, quite grippy, with rather jagged acidity. It seems a bit extracted and lacking in elegance, and it also lacks some length.

vibrant medium purple-garnet;
bright, lively black fruits;
full, mouth-filling,ample wine, rich and luscious, medium long, fresh.

Very polished oak giving a touch of reduction, and hiding the fruit. A little lean on the palate and rather tight dry finish. A touch on the austere side.
