Tasting: Meursault 1er Cru 2010

Subdued nose, more oak than fruit evident. Oaky, a touch oily, rather heavy-handed and coarse, lacking fruit precision and finesse. There is decent acidity but it still lacks drive and personality. Moderate length

Nutty and summer meadow nose. The palate has potential with good acid and minerals, but for now the oak is too dominant.

Slightly heavy, quite oak-influenced nose. Good, rich, very broad flavours, acidity quite agressive, a little unbalanced and needs to knit before it can show well.
