As you would expect from a Barossa Shiraz, this is not a shy wine! Corners have been cut to reach a pretty impressive price point, such as a short maturation on oak chips rather than in barrels, but invariably these compromises have to be made and they certainly won’t affect your enjoyment. Fragrant violets intertwine with iron, blackcurrant and black cherry aromas. The palate is fairly dense, with Malbec-like sweet black cherry fruit, more violets, spices and vanilla.
