Tasting: Coonawarra & Margaret River Cabernet Sauvignon

Big, aromatic savoury nose. Lots of vanilla coming through on palate. Chewy and chunky, getting raspberries and rhubarb, and custard creams. A bit mix and match and alcohol is dominant, as is the acidity.

Deep, bright colour. Vegetal, secondary note, stalky, perhaps some TCA on nose? Palate better, plump, TCA not noted on palate. Nice poise & balance, jammy. Curious.

Good youthful colour, clean, fresh juicy loganberry and plum fruit quality, good chunky tannins, nice concentration of dark fruits flavours with bright acidity, and succulent fruit; well-crafted and well-balanced with a degree of finesse.
