Lidl, Côtes du Rhône 2015
It is not so common to see white Côtes du Rhône as it is red, which is a shame. This example is rounded, with green apple and a touch of stone fruit on the nose. The palate is more on the tropical spectrum of fruits, with a distinct waxiness accompanying the creamy character that runs through to the finish. This will be a good match for cod in a beurre blanc sauce.
