20 and 30 year old Carignan and Garnacha vines are overseen by Carlos Escolar – a young winemaker who coaxes extraordinary flavours from the harsh landscape of Montsant, which almost completely encircles the more famous Priorat. This wine has a lovely nose of red cherry and a hint of spice. The palate is very elegant, with a nice black cherry character that reveals more complex savoury and meaty notes. Fresh and vibrant on the finish, with some delicate red cherry flavour.
