Tasting: St. Aubin 2011

Oaky, grassy, apricot nose, quite assertive. Broad, rich, full-bodied, and hefty, with power rather than finesse. There’s admirable concentration here, and pungency from the acidity, but it remains somewhat raw and unformed. Needs time to harmonise. Mineral and long.

Jason Haynes

Tasting: St. Aubin 2011

Certainly plenty of acid. Very racy and nicely austere. Quite intense. Will need plenty of time. Promising. Punchy. Backward. Quite big.

Steven Spurrier

Tasting: St. Aubin 2011

Fullish yellow, full yellow fruits on the nose, quite high phenolics and quite high alcohol, oak and weight at the expense of finesse.
