Distinctively honeyed nose, and the sweetness counters the acidity on the palate well. This is convincing – not just an arbitrary dosage, the balance works nicely and the fruit profile is fully ripe.

Lovely bright lemon gold. Good bubbles . Nose is quite muted. Immediate impact on the palate is of slightly cloying sweetness, which is a little too high and rather overwhelms the palate, disguising the fruit flavours and dominating the acidity.

Nose slightly muted and not showing much in the way of autolytic character. Clean fruit and although sweetness level is high, it doesn’t mask the fruit too much and the acid still shines through. On balance, a successful wine.
