Tasting: Tasmania & Victoria Pinot Noir

Earthy, close-grained aromas; perhaps some whole-bunch here. Intriguing, though fairly weighty. Full-flavoured and deep, with a little grip for texture and interest. The alcohol stands out a little in this wine, and some would find it a bit squat and tubby.

A strawberry bomb on the nose, very fruity on the palate, confectionary, some vanilla spice, alcohol seems a tad high.

Pungent, toasty, smoky oaked nose with black cherry notes. Rich and extracted with sweet cherry fruit and a prominent oak texture.
