Raw oak on the nose and the palate. Short and raw.

Big guns with coffee, toffee, black and red fruit. Feels entirely commercial, I’ve no interest whatsoever. Nothing to comment on, balanced yes, boring yes.

Tasting: Chianti Classico Riserva

Deep colour, pronounced nose with intense black fruit and spice. This is intriguing with a powerful nose and plenty of oak. At the end of the day the oak wins this battle and the wine finishes with a dusty, tannic note that accentuates the alcohol.
