Tasting: Western Australia Chardonnay

Clean green gold in colour. Soft and attractive scents of cream, birch leaves in spring; a hint of lemon verbena. This is full, vivid and long on the palate. It’s a little bit uneventful at this stage; perhaps time will work some detail into the wine. Oak evident in the finish.

Savoury and spicy, seems quite closed, needs time. Some strong savoury overtones, stone fruit closed in the background, some ripe pineapple hidden too.

Intense and savoury nose with notes of spices and whites peaches. Crisp and elegant, with barrel fermented texture and med-long butterscotch like aftertaste.
