Andrew Jefford

Tasting: Western Australia Chardonnay

Pale green-gold. Plenty of soft oatflake richness here, and some toasty oak too. The palate is vividly acidic, a little leaner than the nose suggested, but balanced by creamy, nutty depth. A well-made modern MR Chard in the fashionably willowy style.

Roger Jones

Tasting: Western Australia Chardonnay

Delicate savoury flavours but then on the end there are some Chinese flavours – both savoury and fruit driven from lychees to ginger tea. There is however a lovely fresh aromatic finish with lively fruits, maybe I would leave it another year.

Alessandro Marchesan

Tasting: Western Australia Chardonnay

Intense and rich complex nose with notes of tropical fruit and butterscotch. Ripe red citrus fruit and quite a lot of oak. Slightly oxidised aftertaste.
