Tasting: Vosne-Romanee 2010

Sweet elegant nose, with a fine touch of oak. Rich, suave, generous, opulent without being heavy-handed or over the top. Firm tannins give some structure and this is a serious Village wine, with vigour and persistence. Punches above its weight. Good length.

rather dull colour, red-brown;
ripe fruit with oakiness;
full start, rich fruit in mid-palate, lively, balanced length.

Gentle graceful nose, could perhaps use more energy at this stage of its life. Shows better on the palate though there are some slightly drying wood tannins. Sound wine that lacks the zest of the vintage.
