Tasting: Western Australia Chardonnay

Pale gold. Light, fresh, graceful scents, though without a lot of focus. Vivid and lively, but a little high-toned and tart at the end. Seems a little simple, somehow.

Bright and fresh, lovely acidity, evolving on the palate, lovely ripe fruit from stone fruit to citrus like pineapple and yuzu. Seemless, long and lingering, a delicious mouth filling wine now, may well improve but don’t wait – buy it and drink it.

Clean and pure, with notes of grapefruit and blood orange on the nose. Crisp, round and creamy on the palate with long red citrus fruit like aftertaste.
