McGuigan, Shortlist Barossa Shiraz, Barossa Valley, 2014

90
Tasted by: James Button
(at Mary Ward House, London, 08 Mar 2017)
Drinking Window: 2017 - 2021
Big and rich, as you may expect, this Barossa Shiraz has aromas of dark fruit and smoke. The palate is loaded with juicy cherry, plum, damson and black fruit flavours, with tar, star anise and a woody character. There is some tannic grip to provide a counter to the ripe fruit.
