Well done to Aldi for having a good value, mature Bordeaux on its shelves! This is the second wine of Château Citran, meaning that you get a Citran-style wine that's ready to drink sooner and at a fraction of the cost. It's a blend of 58% Cabernet Sauvignon and 42% Merlot and offers fine quality for the price, with developed leathery flavours and soft cigar and spice notes leading to stemmy, inky-fresh blackcurrant fruit. It's not the most complex Bordeaux, but is more than ready to enjoy now with a traditional Sunday roast.
