Equal amounts of vibrancy and depth in this elegant blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon – aged nine months in oak (50% new) on the lees with frequent batonnage – that retains freshness while showing nutty maturity. The fleshy core of yellow apple and Asian pear rests weightily on the mid-palate, with a glaze of lemon and honey – all topped with lime zest and toasted almonds. Outstanding value for a mature, polished white Bordeaux, drinking perfectly now and punching well above its weight.
