Relatively full for the vintage with a filling texture of fleshy tannins and juicy, crisp cranberry fruit. Clean and slightly grippy with firm tannic edges but nicely balanced to the fruit concentration. I like the element of soft richness on offer here with liquorice, black chocolate and clove spice. Nicely constructed. Ends cool too. Charming, generous and round. Production was reduced by around 50% due to hail and strict sorting.
