Toasted on the nose, woody, caramel, blackcurrant. Sharp and tangy, hgh acidity with red fruits but there's an element of drying wood underneath, nevertheless it's smooth and clean. Unfussy, with red cherry and blackcurrant. Not unlikeable at all. Just easy. A 30ha,property in middle of the appellation - terroir mostly clay. Sold to Total Wine in the US. A blend of 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon. Ageing three months with staves.
