Sun-warmed herbs such as thyme and bay follow through from the nose to the palate, and meet a gentle pepperiness and juicy raspberry acidity. The tannins are quite present, building on the finish. There's nothing forced or over-extracted here, just lovely cool red fruits and an enjoyably tight-grained textual palate. Fresh, almost aerial style, but not without substance.
