Ferraton Père & Fils, La Matinière, Crozes-Hermitage, 2017

Made from Syrah grown in Mercurol and Beaumont-Monteux, destemmed and matured in vat and barrel for a year before release. Notes of black fruits backed up with peppery herbs like oregano and perfumed ones like marjoram. Mature, harmonious and ready. Actually quite light on the palate, very well balanced and fresh. Transparent and drinkable. Drink now, don’t keep, though it won't fall apart immediately.
