A mineral rather than fruit-driven Riesling from 40-year-old vines, that shows off beautifully the volcanic terroir of the Stromberg and Felsenberg grand crus. Racy acidity lifts tangy tart apples, fresh lime and smoky, flinty notes, with hints of petrol development. Long, lean and elegantly expressive.
