Dried for four months, the Corvina, Corvinone and Rondinella grapes were fermented in stainless steel before maturation in new French oak barriques and tonneaux for 24 months. The result is an Amarone with mint-chocolate and black fruit scents. In the mouth it has a reduced character of toasted fenugreek seed which then opens up a bit to reveal intense black fruits and an oaky finish of spice, chocolate, tar and coffee. Big, rich and round, but still lighter than some other examples.
